Ryder Primrose, 19 years of age and the Prince of Asturia, is the focus character in Part I. Ryder is an extreme person who enjoys doing anything to risk his life. He enjoys rock-climbing, kayaking, and base jumping off cliffs so high the bottom is not visible. Ryder is extremely fit and is also the bearer of the Fire Emblem. He possesses the power of fire, and so, he is also the representation of the primrose.

Allia, or better known with her Elven companions as "Qegnasi", is one of the four who bear an emblem. Her emblem, the Air Emblem, is strong and significant. She comes from the capital Elötr of Aeiou Raen. She is known to be only 18 years of age, although she has 400 more years to live. Allia is an Elf who is very spiritual and also magical. She is experienced in Elven fighting styles and is strangely beautiful, despite no love interests. Some hobbies Allia enjoys are writing and reading Elven literature, dancing, and healing people. Allia is wise and also fierce.

Urya Ünglewa, resident of the city Eloquence in the Esquian Mountains, is a tough and arrogant woman who also bears the Water Emblem. She is extremely self-confident and puts herself in front of others. She is highly skilled with a boomerang and is also honing her skills in rock climbing. Her representation, seacress, is a beautiful flower found only in the water. Urya does not get along well with others, but has an extreme love for Ryder once she meets him. At the oldest age of 24, she does not take no for an answer and is quick to take over the group.

The young philosopher of just 19, Orion Starphii, is an intelligent and also strong person who comes form the city Braides. He is the Emblem of Earth, and also represents the Tiger Lily. Orion has a love interest in Allia, but Allia shows no interest in him other to show him the beauty in nature. Orion is a studying philosopher and also young prophet, but he has a strong passion for animals. He has made many prophecies as a young man and some have came true. He is not one to fight at first instinct, but rather negotiate. When it comes down to battle, he is a ruthless fighter and will do anything to have a victory.
